The Ladies of "Spider Wars" Show Their Class

We should have had a prize for the best team name this evening, but we didn't. If we had however, it would have gone to "And God said unto Adam 'come forth and receive eternal life', but Adam came fifth and won a toaster". Well, they actually came second last and won nothing as "FourPlay" pipped them to the £20 bar voucher prize following a tiebreaker!

With only three teams breaking the 30 point barrier, the battle for the £40 bar voucher first prize proved to be between a fairly exclusive club. Old favorites "The me team" (normally BMC) and "I don't know!" scored 31 and 32 points respectively, but it was the all female first-timer team "Spider Wars" who took the prize with an excellent 35 points - I can see the debate as to whether the male or female is the superior specie raising its ugly head again!

Although the consensus was not to play for the £20 jackpot prize this week to build it up in value again, our hosts at The Jolly Farmer very kindly offered a drink on the house to all team members of the winning team, so we went through the motions and all team members of the "Jolly Quizzers" had one on the house!

We do it all again next week when the rolling jackpot cash prize increases to £46; same place, same time: Tuesday 28st August; 7.00pm ish for a 7.30pm start.
