The "Desperados" were in Hotel California this evening

I'm not sure what they were serving up at the Hotel California this evening but the "Desperados" were on fire. Not only did they take the evenings £20 bar and food voucher prize for coming second to last following a tiebreaker with the "Dysfunctional Family", but they also beat all-comers for the opportunity to draw from the remaining envelopes for the Jackpot cash prize and they were winners ...................... of a packet of crisps! Considering the cocktails and bottles of fizzy stuff consumed by the "Martinis", they also did very well, but it has to be said that trying to encourage them to the word size from a cryptic clue proved extremely difficult and provided great hilarity when eventually the lady team members had to be referred to certain body parts to get the word!!

The evening's £40 bar and food voucher first prize went to the more discerning "Leylandi Killers" who narrowly prevailed by a single point from "Thought it started at 8" and "Quiz Team Aguilera".

We do it all again next week when the Jackpot cash prize rolls over and increases to £52.50: Tuesday 3rd April; 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.
