"Reigning Champions" no more!

After cleaning up last week under the guise of "Short of Cash", they returned this week (with cash) as "Reigning Champions" but could not live up their team name - more fuel needed I think! You needed 40 points this week to take the £40 bar voucher first prize and although "Living the Dream" split into two teams, the other being "Harry's Harem", they beat a fantastic 39 points by "Just the two of Us" to take the prize - Harry, we won't tell the students, but I suspect Barry will; probably via a special announcement at tomorrow's assembly!

The evening's £20 bar voucher prize for coming second last was as always a fiercely fought battle with only a single point in it either way. Needless to say "Chalfont Ladies" were involved but they were too good by a point. First timers and representing the accountancy profession, "Fake it till U make it!" - I trust their team name is not reflective of how they prepare their client accounts - were a point adrift leaving "Neighbours" to quietly and discreetly collect the prize.

All was not over however for this evening's first-timers as they won the opportunity to select from the Jackpot cash prize envelopes, but in selecting envelope number 4 they again failed to make the accounts balance!! So, the jackpot increases to £26.50 and rolls over to next week's quiz on Tuesday 28th January when we do it all again.
