Although it has to be said many of the teams this evening seemed surprisingly familiar with this unfortunate abnormality, especially the ladies - what do they know that we don't? Anyway, once again we had a pleasant and convivial evening at the Jolly Farmer with strong competition for all the prizes. Despite losing a key (and delightful) team member through illness - we hope you get better soon - and replacing her with a Geordie (howay man, wot ya ganning on aboot?), "Hindzina" ultimately took the £40 bar voucher first prize following a tiebreaker with the "Swinging Rods". The usual favourites for the £20 bar voucher prize for the team with second least points, "Desperados" and "Neighbours" along with first-timers "Lewis", were just too good (or bad) enabling the "Chalfont Ladies & Gentleman" to scoop the spoils.

As for the Jackpot cash prize of £88, the very appropriately named (even if I say it myself) "Nick's back - Hurrah" won the opportunity to select from the seven remaining Jackpot envelopes and despite a little hesitation between the team members as to which envelope to select, they ultimately went for envelope number 8 and in this season of goodwill were accordingly rewarded!

We do it all again next week, the last Quiz Night of 2018 at The Jolly Farmer: Tuesday 18th December; 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start as usual - festive spirit obligatory, festive dress optional!
