Competing with the England football team is never easy, but whilst they were involved in an 8 goal thriller in Southampton, the Jolly Farmer hosted 8 team competing in a thrilling quiz.
This was my 2nd cover for regular host Nick and the 1st time I have returned to a venue. It was great to walk into a pubb and 'know' some of the pkayers...many of whom I had met last week.
A lively evening...most of the noise coming from a great bunch of boys and girls calling themselves Almond Teats - who supported all the other teams by propping up the final scores!!
At the other end of the scale it was save Trees, Eat Beaver who walked away with the winners prize whilst the impeccably behaved AlMon picked up the 2nd last envelope.
The jackpot rolls over again....it will be over £140 next week...and only 3 envelopes left...great odds - far beyter than you'd get on England beating Kosova!!
