Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

There was something of a gender war taking place in The Bookcase Bar this evening in Clapham Old Town's Jam Tree, as two of our regular single-sex teams met for the first time and went head to head to win the title. Both former champions, and both serious quizzers, it was a very exciting match to behold, and all bets were on as to who would reign victorious.

At half time, the all-male "Drawing of a Cock" were doing well with a solid 17, putting them ahead of both "$crotes" on 16, and the delightful duo "Please Leave" on 11.5. But the lasses were all ready striding ahead with an impressive 20 points. However, as we know everything can change in the second half, so one should never assume a victory, regardless of how certain it looks at half-time.

But this week, they started as they meant to go on, and fuelled by a dish of The Jam Tree's finest vegan sausages and roasted veg, by the end of the match our all-girl team had brought it home, winning with 43, 4 points ahead of the lads' more modest 39.
