Poppies were out in force on this Remembrance Sunday and after paying their respects to those who lost their lives during WW1 (and other wars), it was time to get together with friends and family and appreciate those that we love and care about. If things got a little heated during the quiz, it was only because people knew that footballer Mo Salah plays for the Egyptian national team! Thankfully, there was no name-calling between teams- even if there was, our teams would have to not let it affect them- like a Pachyderm, a group of animals known for having thick skins! Finally, everyone left the quiz feeling satisfied, nobody feeling like they’d been sold a pup- the other name for a baby seal. Space Cowboys wrapped up the £50 bar tab with 38 points and Just the 3 of us once again grabbed the wine with 25 points! With £90 being next week's jackpot, it might be worth playing and paying for parts of the Christmas shopping...
