Was it liquor or was it liqueur?

Well, your quizmaster pronounced it as liqueur when reciting the question when it should have been liquor. Despite that, some teams actually got the right answer!?!? Needless to say the more pedantic teams competing for the £40 bar voucher first prize didn't. One can presumably therefore deduce that those who got it right have had (a) Sex on the Beach (cocktail), whereas those that didn't haven't. Fortunately the error didn't impact on the outcome of the prize, although some of the answers given provided for some fascinating new cocktails. Anyway, I'm rambling; my apologies - only 2 points separated the top four positions this evening and the destiny of the prize was all about the second half of the quiz. Joint first half leaders "Upon a Time in the Highwayman" and "Against All Odds" respectively finished fourth and joint second (alongside "The Laws of Quizics"), Thus leaving "Here's Nick with a quick Reminder" as outright winners this week, and without Sarah who was apparently on secret exercises!

Team "138 Not Out" (plus Richard) featured in both the £20 bar voucher second prize and also the Jackpot cash prize insofar as they came last enabling "Question Mark!" to pick up the bar voucher prize, and in eliminating Jackpot envelope number 6 for the cash prize! They however participated, as always, in the right spirit and were great fun.

So, we do it all again next week. Same place, same time: Wednesday 19th February and now with only five Jackpot envelopes left.
