Why? well firstly for being the only male member of team "Five go quizzing" (can I say that?) and secondly, having won the opportunity to select from the two remaining Jackpot envelopes for the £150 cash prize, amongst much team indecision Shaun took the (perhaps fool hardy) responsibility for the selection ……… and got it wrong. By way of consolation "Five go quizzing" did win a bag of crisps! - now Catherine, don't give him a hard time.

As for the quiz, we had some great scores this evening with half the teams scoring in the 30's or above including newcomers "Just the two of us" and "Quiz Akabuse" . It was however "Mephistopheles and the agents of Change" scoring a magnificent 41points who took the £40 bar voucher first prize - I'm not sure who devises their team names as neither Sarah or Pauline can be associated in any way with Mephistopheles as they are much more like Mary Magdalene. The £20 bar voucher second prize was as always keenly fought over. Although the prize was awarded to the "Dynamic Trio", following a audit of the answer sheets by the National Audit Office, "Team T" would have taken the prize had they added up their second half score correctly (hick).

Anyway, a pleasant and convivial evening was had by all and we do it all again next Wednesday 24th October when the JACKPOT CASH PRIZE (£150) WILL DEFINATELY BE WON. As always, help the Highwayman ensure all teams are seated comfortably by booking your table in advance on 01442 285480.
