The Wednesday night quiz at The Hare and Billet is rapidly becoming the home of tiebreakers. Frequently we find sets teams here tied for both first and second last, and tonight’s relatively low-scoring contestwas no exception.

After regulation play of 40 questions, Shit, My Boss Is Here and Puggle Trouble were deadlocked on 31 points, two ahead of nearest challengers QOMF and #FiremanDan. In the “race for second last”, T Dubbers and ZindaBad were tied on 22 points.

That meant we had two sets of teams, two prizes, and one numerical tiebreaker to decide both prizes:

In the end, both ZindaBad and Puggle Trouble went for 27 (only one year too young). This won ZindaBad a voucher for a bottle of wine, but it also meant we had first time winners at the H&B, as Puggle Trouble took home a £50 bar tab for their richly deserved victory.
