The Hare and Billet was packed to the gunnels with quizzers tonight, as 16 teams competed for this week’s honours. Despite a low-scoring first half, many teams recovered to post respectable totals over the 40 questions, and after regulation play 2 teams were tied at the top of the table on 35 points: Tranquil 7 and Light Breeze Syringe.
After a numerical decider question, however, it was Tranquil 7 who were closest and they took home the £50 bar tab top prize. Honourable mentions should also go to Quizzers With Attitude (30), What’s This All Aboot? (29), and We Only Do The Quiz In Half-Term (29), but the next most important place to be last night was in second last, and The Only Babes Left In The Village achieved that, taking home a consolatory bottle of wine for their 19 point effort.
