I Thought This Was Speed Dating - but we won the quiz anyway!

It was a bumper quiz night at the Draft House Chancery Lane on Tuesday night, with 21 teams and 102 players packing out the room! First place on the winner's podium went to I Thought This Was Speed Dating, who boosted their score to a fantastic 49.5 with the bonus points from round 2's free drinks question.
Runners-up (& winners of the bottle of wine) were Where's The Wang?, who also triumphed in the creative round. Teams were challenged to write a 25-word story finishing with a sentence given to them by another team. Amid strong competition, Where's The Wang's lovely tale of piracy, heartbreak and oranges netted them the points from the judging staff!
The coveted second-to-bottom position (and lovely posh beer glasses) was won by Les Cultivés in a tense tiebreak finish against Quizteama Aguilera. It was the second tiebreak of the night, as there had already been one to decide the winner of round 1's free drinks question. Dickie Hart & The Pacemakers beat Andy's Sweaty Sausage Sizzler to take the drink and bonus points.
