To the member of Beeches, whose maiden name was Wookey, as in Somerset, I do apologise for the precision required by question 3, I felt for you. But EVEN bringing a dog that irrepressibly cute with you could not change my mind. In the meantime thankyou everyone for the lovely lively sporting atmosphere in which the quiz was played. The real joy when a question falls into place is just lovely! So many of your answers were tantalisingly close - Quizzees, you were ONE WORD from winning outright without that thrilling tie-break, Brenlews: enjoy your wine , you earned it, and if just one of your guesses in the second half ( all of which were very intelligent) you wouldn't have had it.
