Strewth, that's enough for a trip to Uluru!

The juicy Devonshire jackpot was finally one tonight, with regulars S*x, Drugs and Sausage Rolls claiming the £724 that's been building for weeks. With only two cards left on the board, it was a 50% chance of victory. He said right, she said left, he listened and we're all glad he did. They got there with a more than respectable educated guess on the closest-to question which, you guessed it, tested their knowledge on Australia's ancient and sacred rock.
The pub went mad when the Queen was turned over and the winning team were lost for words — one of the many reasons I choose to spend my Tuesday nights hosting this quiz.
The main quiz itself was no tawdry affair, though, with it going neck and neck until the end. The Tooting Popular Front, named in honour of Citizen Kane, are starting to find their feet and found this week's questions perfectly in line with their diverse knowledge. A solid win by two points of last week's winners' Sounds of Fatness who played a good game throughout.
Honourable mention to third-placers Josh's Birthday Brigade. It was ex-host of this chapter, Josh's birthday, as the name suggests and teams had fun trying to guess his age for a bonus point. Some were spot on, some were way off. In my opinion, he doesn't look that old but who am I to judge?
So, if you thought that was enough fun for a lifetime and that it isn't worth turning up next week, you'd be wrong. The jackpot restarts with £92 in the running for your pockets, plus, as has been mentioned more than once, "it's (probably) the most fun quiz in London." So get yourselves down there for next week, 8pm on the dot!
