Happy Ending For The Pterodactyls!

A storming second round -- in which the winners knew every single answer (although they talked themselves out of two of them) -- led to a brace of wins for regular quiz players who went under "The Right Answer to Number 28 is Pterodactyl". I knew they were good. They had their own pens and they also knew the correct spelling for an ancient dinosaur -- impressive.
What was more impressive is that a team made up of two thirds of out-of-towners rightly picked out the right card to turn over the Queen and win the jackpot. Not bad for a night's work. They also had to get closest to two different answers on Shakespeare and Nicole Kidman -- even more impressive!
Everyone else played excellently for a closely fought battle and "Sound of Phatness" blagged a bottle for their hard efforts.
It was my first quiz at The Devonshire and I can't wait to get back to hosting next week. You and your lovely smiling faces better be back too. See you then, Tuesdays at 8.
