One never knows what will give a quiz team an advantage or conversely what puts a team at a disadvantage.
Last night at The Devonshire Arms regular Monday quiz, one team told quizmaster Richard Linton that the team was at a disadvantage because some of the team members were American.
Once the quiz had started though, it became apparent that having an American element was a good thing because there were several American slanted questions including cryptic clues to American states.
At the end, the American input was not quite enough with the winning team being an all English three man team "Quiztion Bale" which scored 37 points and won a £50 bar voucher.
