‘Tonia Triumph In Tense Triple-Team Tiebreak

Graeme W

The Tuesday night quiz at The Bohemia tends to throw up plenty of close-run contests, sometimes with a pair of teams tied at the top at the end... but tonight gave us the rarity of a three-way play-off. After 40 questions regulation play, three familiar names - Coalition Of Chaos, Katatonia, and Oliver’s Revenge - were tied on 37 points apiece, a full 4 points ahead of next best teams Arnie’s Babes and The Fecal Position (33), with Comfortably Average a point further back on 32. This took matters to a numerically-themed tiebreaker question (how many speaking parts Shakespeare wrote), and while all 3 were well off the mark, Katatonia were closest and took home the £50 bar tab first prize. The prize for second last this evening went to a team with the (I HOPE!) ironic moniker Prince Andrew Did Nothing Wrong, who bagged a bottle of red wine for managing to find 23 points.
