The sweet taste of victory for the Dutch Pancakes!

Sarah R

The Dutch Pancakes took the gold at the Wigmore on Monday evening, boosting their score with the bonus points from both free drinks questions.
The honours for second-to-bottom (and a spin on the #wigmorewheel of prizes) went to Started Out With A Quiz - How Did It End Up Like This? (It Was Only A Quiz, It Was Only A Quiz). They won themselves 15% off their food bill, and are current frontrunners for the 'longest team name' award (if such a thing existed.....!)
The creative round was won by It's My Birthday And I'll Cry If I Want To (it was Jessica's birthday, & happily there were no tears all evening). Teams were challenged to come up with a new Doctor Who monster, complete with weapon and weakness. Amid strong competition from the Dutch Pancakes's farting monster, their burger themed beast who killed by force-feeding and melted 'like a slug in salt' when exposed to chlorine was the staff's favourite, and netted them the bonus points.
There was a plethora of funny wrong answers that all genuinely made the quizmaster chuckle, so all four teams (Mine's A Bottle Of Bolly were the other team) received bonus points.
