Despite the heat, the quiz was hotting up this evening with big scores all around and a nail-biting 1 point between winners "Let’s get quizzical" and runners-up "Quiztal pals". Thrown into the mix was my new bonus game 'Guess the weight of the household items on the table in the middle' (I’m still working on a catchy name). 7 regular household items that you can look at but not touch, at the end of the bonus game, the regulars “Flabby Bowling Elbow” smashed it with 3 points. But alas, it was not enough for them to successfully play catch up with new kids on the block “Let’s get quizzical” and kids returning from holiday on the block “Quiztal Pals”. On top of a bonus drink for one team member but a failed attempt to win £42 in cash in our rollover jackpot by another member, "Let’s Get Quizzical" were all smiles when they scraped a win of 37 points and a refreshing £50 to spend behind the bar.
