Tonight my secret life as an itinerant quizmaster took me down to my ancestor’s old ‘hood of Crystal Palace for one-night-only at the rather lovely Westow House. The quiz itself was a sporting one, touching here and there upon fencing, tennis, football, basketball, and snooker. Right at the buzzer, fortunes changed by way of creative-round bonus points, which saw the high scoring Sparkle Motion getting pipped at the post by That Team In The Corner—by a mere half point no less! Commiserations go to The Team With No Name, who very nearly won the jackpot, stumbling on the 3rd card. As for the team that asked about my books and my Twitter handle, it’s @rpWeston.
