3 Men & A Lady Show 4 Can Make 5 (More points) !

Andrew P

The weather was temperamental this evening in the London borough of Tower Hamlets but what was never in doubt was a packed bar at the Star of the East Public House! All tables had been booked and any walk ups were squeezing in any way that they could to take part in the Quiz. Whilst our teams are a sophisticated bunch, there were a few cheesy answers- especially from those who wrote down Wensleydale as being the white, flaky cheese named after an area of North Yorkshire! If you thought that was nuts, then you would've groaned to learn that the chocolate bar 'Snickers' was named after the makers favourite horse. Then again, after those two foody questions, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the question about a thin liquid food made of oatmeal boiled in milk or water was particularly GRUEL-ing! 3 Men & a Lady, scored an eye watering 46, beating the second place team by a clear 5 points and the Wine-rs did what they said on the tin by winning a bottle of house red with 19 points! With tables being booked up on a weekly basis, it's advisable to reserve yours early. Especially since next weeks Jackpot is £94...
