The winners were far from quizerable

They may not have had an original team name but Les Quizerables couldn't hide their smiley faces as they were crowned winners in a close-knit affair at the Pembroke last night.

Quiz is Blind were hot on their heels and led at half time but other teams clawed their way back in strong second half showings (and maybe a little help from me for teams towards the bottom of the ladder).

The night wasn't without controversy, though, with fun-loving pair Lazzicka guessing correctly on the jackpot question but failing to hand it to me in time. Confident they hadn't cheated and with just £21 in the pot, we let them off and they played for a good old Brucie Bonus in Play Your Cards Right. Unfortunately for them they couldn't play them right and went higher on a six, only to turn over a five — whoops.

Oh well, they had already won a free drink so to them it didn't matter too much.
