Latch Corner had only come to the quiz once before, but had won on that occasion. They won again, adding to the pressure on them for the next time they come.

Among the competitors was one who had known the Quizmaster since she was a little girl, but despite her entreaties, the QM refused to offer her team any extra help, and unfortunately they came last of the finishers.

The jellybean jackpot continued was not won, and the prize money for winning it continues to grow.
