A faintly Churchillian head-to-head at The Green Man tonight, with questions about his being the USA’s first ever honorary citizen and Darkest Hour popping up in the film questions. (Thankfully both teams were in cheery moods—no ‘black dogs’ here.) After a close first round with teams separated by a mere point, The Other Team surged ahead for the win. Special kudos, however, to Brexit at Tiffany’s for sharing a glass of their consolation wine with me—along with a lively chat! Hope to see everyone again at future quiz nights!
