A very Happy Thanksgiving to any fellow Americans on this fine holiday! The Station Hotel in Hither Green held a very fun quiz on this day, and the Quizmaster went around asking teams what they were all thankful for. Popular answers included the usual: friends, family, good health, etc. but one man said he was thankful that the Chancellor hadn't increased the price of beer in his budget the day before! One point went to any team who knew that Ankara was the capital of TURKEY, and another point for any team who knew that PUMPKIN PIE is traditionally served at American Thanksgivings. Well done to the team 'Thanks for Nothing' who finished on top and nabbed that £50 bar tab. The jackpot is now nearing £500, and there is no telling when it will be won!
