Oscar Quiz Showdown!

Another fantastic quiz tonight at the Station Hotel, with a record turnout so far this year. And even though the quizmaster had trouble with basic counting skills, all ten teams got through to the end, hopefully, more clever than when they started, especially when it comes to Oscar-winning films. Our winners tonight were "The Barflies" reclaiming their throne with a very impressive score of 43 points, which might be the best final score in the history of all quizzes throughout the world (just a guess). Our second-to-last bottle of wine went to the lovely team "Independent Party of Ex-IS Wives" (who may not have won that wine if it wasn't for that pack of polar bears!) And our regular team "Roy's Rovers" finally had their chance at the cash jackpot, but fell with only two cards remaining. So the cash rolls over, and next Thursday the jackpot will be over £300.
