A rather quiet finish.

Always a little quieter after a Bank Holiday but ten teams competed in The Spice of Life regular Tuesday quiz last night.
"Marmite Duvet" was my favorite team name and in fact a successful two-man team winning third place after a tie-break.
When quizmaster Richard Linton went to read the final scores though - silence! Although a few people sitting near him heard Richard begin to read the results, the radio microphone appeared to have died. Batteries were changed and switches switched but still nothing. In the end the final scores, tie-break questions and results were read by lung power alone. After the winning teams had been congratulated, an investigation took place and it was discovered that the microphone receiver had been unplugged to allow a mobile 'phone to be charged! If only all of life's problems were solved as easily. Why not join us at The Spice next week from 7pm?
