With 50 eager quizzers taking part it was a busy night down at the Rylston, and it ended with the excitement of a tiebreak as we had two teams - 'Physics Phreaks' and 'cheesy doughballs' - deadlocked in second-to-last on 29 points. In the end, it was the science geeks who collected the wine, coming closest to correctly guessing George W. Bush's margin of victory over Al Gore in Florida in the 2000 US Presidential election. At the other end of the table, it was a clear victory for the six pals of 'James and James' who scored an excellent 43 points to take the £40 bar tab, while no one managed claim the cash jackpot so it stays at £250 for next week.
