An epic perfromance by "Mighty Minds"!

Not in the quiz though - they came last! "Mighty minds" were however tremendous fun and provided entertainment all night. Maybe a more appropriate team name next time! We also had an equally delightful Anglo-New Zealand family join us this evening in the form of "Four More Years". Needless to say the topic of the Rugby, oh and the cricket came up a couple of times and other than their Haka before the start of the quiz (not really), it has to be said they were incredibly humble and respectful and acquitted themselves well by coming joint second with "We'll have a think".

As for the prizes, "Cats like Felix" were the star turn and consequently took the £50 bar voucher first prize. I'd like to say the bottle of wine prize for coming second last was a close run thing with "Mighty Minds" involved, but as alluded to above, it wasn't. "The 3 B's" therefore celebrated with a bottle of bubbly on the house, which was popped and disappeared pretty smartly.

All teams played for the £78.50 Jackpot cash prize with ""We'll have a think" winning through to 'Play your cards right'. As was the case at the last quiz and can be seen in the associated photo, they were doing well until the penultimate card where they justifiably went higher on a 4 and turned over a 3!!! So the jackpot increases to £89.50 and rolls over to the next Quiz Night at the Red Lion on Thursday 14th November.
