The year 2018 has started as many people thought it would, right at the beginning of January and if things go on like this it looks set to go all the way through to December, going past March, September and all the rest.

One place which is really experiencing that more than anywhere else is The Ram in Kingston where seven, let's count them shall we, just to make sure I've got it right, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, that's right seven teams fought the Sunday night quiz with the spirit of Bruce Forsythe inside them.

It was great to see all the familiar arms, legs and faces of the player's back behind the tables, pens in hand writing down answers. Even though some of those answers were wrong they still wrote them down which is the most important thing.

We had the return of 'Jo's Gardening Ho's' who played a long game, a game that lasted right until the end of the quiz.

It was a tactic which paid off big time and ended with them winning a great big bottle of wine. Well done Hose.

But winners of tonight were the three piece 'John and Tonic'. They didn't win Play Your Cards Right but they had a damn good go but what they did win was fifty glorious notes of bar tab.
