It was another jackpot special this week at the Railway with the £200 being claimed again for two weeks running! This week's lucky stars were Knowledge is Porridge coming a close second in the quiz, but winning the tie-break jackpot question after guessing the same answer as PotDutBag for the number of stones visible at Stonehenge (both woefully inaccurate but less wrong than the rest of the teams!). The Play your Cards Right started and finished on a tricky seven, but they guessed correctly and went home richer and happy.
The quiz winners were the indomitable Rats At my Pants; back after a long absence and missing two founding members, but they showed they can still cut the mustard and led from the start.
Welcome to newbies HughTang Clan, behind at half time by 3 points, but managed to claw their way up to joint last with Spooky Story, While Quizikwl, Quiz Khalifa and the Shambles all made a hearty effort in the second half. The Wine of Shame went to Penny's Pupils (aka Penis Pupils) who struggled in the second half after a decent start, but still went home with a drink!
The jackpot is much depleted now after two successive wins, but there's still £50.00 up for grabs next week, so hope to see you there!
