Lots of new faces in tonight, with some regulars in to challenge for the prizes. The ever-popular wine of shame made a welcome return as six teams were in the offing. "The Undateables" were in attendance to try and reclaim the heady heights of former glory, while newbies, "Pearl Pharmacy", "It's Legal tender", "Quizzal Defeat" and "Norfok 'n' Chance" were here to test the waters.
A tricky first half split the room, with Pearl Pharmacy taking a slim lead over "Norfolk 'n' Chance" and "It's Legal Tender", while "Quizzal Defeat" and "The Undateables" trailed on equal points, vying for the wine.
But as ever, some difficult cryptics and a tough song first line soon separated the teams. At the final whistle, "Pearl Pharmacy" had streaked ahead to win by 7 points, with "Norfolk 'n' Chance" a distant 2nd, while "The Undateables" floundered in last. "It's Legal Tender" had dropped away, but scraped enough points to secure the wine of shame.
The rollover jackpot question was how many National Parks do England and Wales have - which saw most teams displaying an impressive knowledge of the country with two teams working out the answer - no guesswork here! So it led to 2 envelopes being drawn from 8, but both chose badly and the jackpot remains - £188.50 next week, with only 6 to choose from!
