We were turning teams away again this week as the Question One quiz at the Railway proved to be a crowd-pleaser again. Full house with 11 teams and 51 merry quizzers getting in on the act. Visitors and virgins this week were Non-Venomous Snakes, whose regular quiz was booked out so they thought they'd try the Railway, and glad they were too after claiming both free drink questions and the first prize bar tab!
Much to the disgust of Rum Punch, who nearly claimed a noble second but whose numbers saw them relegated to 4th place, but they put up a good fight, and will no doubt be back to reclaim their crown. Welcome to the aussies in the shape of the Trinity Beach Bums and the couple with the cutest quiz name of Oakey & Dokie. They all went home empty handed, but had a good night none the less.
Well done to It's Nearly Quizmas, who can claim to the earliest Christmas punned quiz name, and also got to take home the wine of shame for second to last place.
The Jackpot this week was at £50.00 again and Anarchy, Quiz and Utopia guessed closest to the height of the Wembley Arch (435ft) to test their luck at Play Your Cards Right. But they lucked-out with just two cards remaining and drew a King after a 9 - bad luck gents, but the prize will rise for next week to £75.00! Hope to see you all there!
