We had a decidedly international feel to the quiz tonight with no less than 4 out of 7 teams sporting at least one quizzer from across the pond! I'd like to take credit for attracting visitors from so far afield, but it's probably more down to the cosmopolitan mix of Clapham these days.
We also welcomed a return of 'Better late than never' back after a long absence to make a concerted effort for the wine!
It was a tough quiz this week, with few scoring high points in the first half. The firs half leaders, 'Royal Wedding', tailed off as the questions got more tricky and old hands 'No, we're not pregnant!' stayed strong and pushed ahead to win by 4 clear points! They were very grateful for the £25.00 bar tab and the wine of shame went to the equally happy 'Better late than never!'.
Free drinks went to 'Brayburne Duo' and 'No we're not pregnant!' and the rollover jackpot question was also won by the 'Brayburne Duo', but they failed to select the winning envelope. The jackpot now is £148.00!! See you all next time.
