Tonight at The Plough we thought the cold weather had scared everyone off - until just 10 minutes before the start where we had an incredible 50 quizzers turning up to win the cash prize, Jammie Dodgers and of course, free drinks!
There was controversy in the pub over the Heart of the Sea from Titanic being a diamond, blue diamond or sapphire but what is a pub quiz without a little friendly competition?
The chance to win the jackpot was won by "Not Ready Already", but they were beaten by the cards, choosing to go lower than a King and turning over an Ace (it was High!).
However, not all was lost as "Not Ready Already" won the total cash prize tonight of £102. "Quiztopher Walken" took home the Jammie Dodgers and "Alfie Solomon's Corp" enjoyed a nice glass of white on the house.
The pub quiz really is the Heart of the Plough!
