One word to describe the Thursday night quiz at The Plough this week: groundbreaking. On the hottest day of 2018 it felt only right to head into the lovely beer garden here, so we did!

7 teams of 32 players quizzed al fresco in a battle of the highest order. We had questions about Pope Pius XII, rainbow trout, and even everyone’s favourite minor character from the Simpsons, Cletus the slack-jawed yokel!

"Quiz ‘em All" returned to the fold after a long absence with an impressive winning score of 40, fending off established regulars "Not Ready Already" and "Pruners" in the process.
