On a beautiful warm Sunday evening at The Pilgrim in Kennington, through the entire venue and out to the sunny patio garden in the back, 11 teams took up arms (pens and pencils) and went toe to toe for the top prize. The quiz stayed very competitive throughout the night: four teams were tied for first place and 2 were one point behind at the break after a strong first round. The second round is, as always, where the quiz gets more serious, and thus, the pack began to stratify towards the finale, with "Jet Fuel Can't Melt Steel Beams" Edging out the competition by a single point, and made off with the bar tab prize. Next, the teams competed for the Jackpot; "I feel powerful" emerging victorious due to their prodigious "Friends" knowledge. The win, however, was not in the cards today, and the looming jackpot ever grows. Stay tuned for next week!
