Oh, what a night! EIGHTEEN TEAMS AND SEVENTY-NINE PEOPLE IN THE HOUSE! It was wonderful to see so many faces, both familiar and new. We did, in fact, have an exciting time of it - in the first half we started discussing balancing sheets, ledgers and statements of income (I feel like I simultaneously learnt a lot and got more confused) and in the second half we had TWO TIES. Teams Braeburn & Pink Ladies and Jet Fuel Can't Melt Steel Beams tied for wine at 23 points - Jet Fuel came out victorious. Interestingly, in the battle of quiz regulars, Thin Lizzy and Depeche Maude met in a tie for the top position at 40 points! The win then went to Depeche Maude. Finally, apple aficionados of Braeburn & Pink Ladies reappeared as winners of the jackpot question and their team representative ACTUALLY PLAYED HIS CARDS RIGHT. THIS RIGHT HERE WARRANTS USAGE OF CAPSLOCK. I repeat: what a night.....
