Fifty people assembled in twelve teams to play the quiz tonight, battling for £50 behind the bar, £100 cash, bottle of wine and eternal glory! The first and the last here (£50 and glory) were taken by team Ken Dodd's Dad's Dog's Dead, who neatly disposed of the competition with 40 points - though it must be mentioned that the runner-ups Sunglasses In A Suck were but a point behind. The regulars, Two-Sided Triangle, snagged themselves a bottle of red wine, and brilliantly attired team Fifty-Four (print shirts! black lipstick! stylish lot) came very close to winning the jackpot of £100. Second-to-last card....! Hopefully they'll come back for more. Next week the jackpot will rise to £150 and we will take off one card, so it's well worth showing up - hope to see you there.
