Ferments of Doom

A fun quiz in Moretown tonight with teams from the local offices popping in to battle a quiz with a baleful theme of doom ("Cracks" of it from Lord of the Rings; and a photo of Kate Capshaw and hubby Steven Spielberg—whom she met on the set of a certain Temple of it). Then there was a (slightly less baleful) secondary theme of fermentation, with yogurt and vinegar cropping up here and there. In the end, it was extremely close, a mere 3 points separating 4 teams, with the Moriarties taking home the grand prize bar tab, Boris taking the wine, and Metzner's narrowly, narrowly missing the jackpot on the very last card. I do hate it when that happens.
