In this the last quiz of the year at the Jolly Farmer, St Nick delivered some early Christmas presents for "Helen the blank or blanks dog", "Second Last" and "Five gold Rings". Despite some very competitive teams and scores this evening, "Helen the blank or blanks Dog" maintained their first half lead to take he £40 bar voucher first prize by 2 points from our Kiwi friends in the guise of "4 Guys at the Bar", both of whom scored in the 40's.
Our winners of the £20 bar voucher second prize for coming second last set their strategy from the outset via their team name of "Second Last", and successfully achieved their objective. "Chalfont Ladies", that's two weeks on the trot - you seem to have real contenders to your throne here.
Following the quiz, all teams played for the Jackpot cash prize. First-timers and festively named "Five Gold Rings", who changed their formation in the second half with some astute substitutions, won the opportunity to draw from the five remaining Jackpot envelopes. Envelope number 7 was selected to reveal ...............they would go home with £91.50 cash prize!! Happy Christmas.
