Impressive scoring from "Onwards & Upwards"

Yes, it was all pretty clear cut this evening. "Onwards & Upwards" scored an impressive 40 points which meant they took the £40 bar voucher first prize by a clear 4 points from this evening's runners-up "I'm an Idiot" and a further 2 points from previous regular winners "Living the Dream. The £20 bar voucher second prize for coming second last was similarly clear cut with "Violets 'R' Blue" being 6 points ahead of "Aussies Abroad" and 5 points behind "Pork Scratchings" (maybe the Cambridge graduate makes a difference). Sadly we're not going to see "Aussies Abroad" for a year and a half and will miss them - it should however make competition for the second prize for coming second last keener!

The Jackpot was a little closer with a tiebreaker being necessary to separate "Violets 'R' Blue" and "I'm an Idiot". The 'idiots' - I'm just getting my own back - prevailed and in selecting envelope number 6 for the £61 cash prize were congratulated on being winners, albeit of a bowl of nuts only on this occasion. So the Jackpot increase to £75 and rolls over to next weeks Quiz Night on Tuesday 10th December.
