Poland and Colombia were not the only teams going head to head in The Bookcase Bar at The Jam Tree in Clapham this evening: four committed quiz teams took on our 40 question challenge while the world cup continued above their heads. And rather than causing a distraction the football tournament seemed to inspire a fighting spirit in our players, who without exception scored very highly this week, making the competition positively stiff. So stiff in fact that at the end of the second round, two teams - "Wayford" and "They Think It's All Over" were neck and neck with 40.5 points apiece.

Once again we were faced with a tie-break, which after a tense few moments, resulted in "They Think It's All Over" claiming the title and the £50.00 bar tab. A very well done to their opposition, who we hope to see very soon for a re-match.

Well done to England, Colombia and every one who quizzed with us this evening. Champions through and through.
