Like all mothers, their son can do no wrong as was the case with "Against all Odds". As a consequence poor old Gary not only got it in the neck from Rose this evening, but from their son also, and with mum's full support! Regardless of some internal team disputes on answers they did score an excellent 38 points. Could it have been more as it turned out they were bridesmaids once again to "Five go on exercises" who accumulated a magnificent 42 points to take the £40 bar voucher first prize. Only Rose, Gary and the boy will know if Gary's answers would have made any difference? The discussion over tomorrow's breakfast could be interesting and I know who won't be winning any arguments.

As to the £20 bar voucher prize for being second last, the scoring indicated that seven of our eleven teams were gunning for this prize. "Poppy's Birthday" - many happy returns Poppy - would have been an appropriate recipient but as alluded to in the above heading, the optimistically named "And in 4th place" beat off the out or sorts "Neo" to take the prize.

By way of guidance "Berko Bandits" revealed their sophisticated methodology to provide an answer to our usually obscure 'closest to' questions for the opportunity to select from the Jackpot cash prize envelopes. They take the average of the normally widely varying guesses from each team member, which certainly worked this evening for the £150 cash prize. What didn't however work was their methodology to select the Jackpot envelope. So, is the Jackpot in envelope number 1, 9 or 10? Hopefully we'll find out next Wednesday 4th March when we do it all again.
