Four Dogs, a Budgie, and Lady Peck and Paws

The Hero of Maida Vale is delicious. It's full of light and pictures on the walls and lively people and dogs. Dogs. Everywhere. Mastiffs and St Bernards and Huskies and Poodles. It is a veritable fest of canine high society. Because all canines are of high society.
And there was a quizz too.

And yes, it got heated. The quizz. Not the dogs. There were growls and bared teeth and raised hackles. As the human chaos erupted, the dogs slept. Panted. Sniffed for scraps on the floor. And then carried on sleeping.
One got snarly when a point wasn't awarded to him. His dog didn't bat an eyelid.

The Budgie Smugglers did not have a dog with them. And they were victorious as the quiz winners and the winners of the creative round. Lady Peck and Paws (named after the team's cat - which turned out to be a door stop) came last. And Don't Worry, Bae Happy won a bottle of wine, coming second to last.

But I was surrounded by hounds tonight at work. So, actually in fact, the real winner was me.
