After a considerable quiz hiatus, the variously numbered “Team Tranquil” returned to The Hare and Billet (site of so many of their victories) this evening, and only just managed to add another win to their quiz CV. With their nearest rivals on 31 points (Snek and Universally Challenged), Tranquil 1 to 4 faced The XYZ-ers in a tiebreaker, as both teams finished the 40 questions with 34 points apiece. In the ensuing numerical decider question, XYZ-ers did really well, but Tranquil were almost exactly correct with by far the closer answer, and they took home the £50 bar tab first prize. The honour of coming second last tonight went to Quiztina Aguilera, whose 22 point effort was just enough to bag them a voucher for a bottle of wine.
