Totally Triumphant Trio!

They’ve been coming to the quiz at The Hare and Billet pretty much every week, and so many times they’ve just missed out with a sizeable clutch of near-misses and second places. However, this week, their loyalty finally paid off. 'The Chris Palmer Trio' has at last tasted victory with a superb display, taking home the £50 bar tab first prize with a grand total of 36 points. They were two points ahead of 'Quizzee Rascal' (34), and two points further back in 3rd place, was the puntastically (and topically) named '7th Heir And Billet (To The Taxpayer)'. A superb achievement by 'The Chris Palmer Trio', though, and proof that loyalty and persistence can eventually pay dividends. Further down the quiz table, there was a close-run contest for the honour of coming 2nd last, with 'Table 13' and 'Quizzimodo' & 'The Notre Dames' tied on 22 points after 40 questions. In the end, though, 'Quizzimodo' et al were closer to the truth, edging it in the tiebreaker and taking home a voucher for a bottle of wine for their efforts!
