There were first time winners tonight at The Hare and Billet quiz, on a night when the standard of scoring was very high across the board. The epic Swords Of Fire bagged their first victory here, taking home the £50 bar tab first prize with a stunning 42 points. Their nearest challengers were Specific Rim, who were a full 4 points behind in second on 38, and “bronze” went to Blackheath Badgers on 36. The consolation prize for coming second last this evening went to Quizky With A Twist, whose 29 points is still a solid respectable effort, but in the context of tonight’s excellent scoring that meant they took home the bottle of red wine.
