Quiz Far From A Fiasco At The H&B

The final quiz of 2018 at The Hare & Billet was a typically boisterous affair, and on this occasion, it was relatively low-scoring, with only two teams scoring over 30 points. However, only one team could walk away with the mantle of champions, and tonight’s winners did so in style (well in Christmas jumpers anyway) and by a 4 point margin.

Far from living up to the last part of their team name, "The Tabasco Fiasco" was anything but disastrous, taking home the £50 bar tab first prize with a highly creditable 36 points.

Staff Party also did very well, as their 32 point total put them in 2nd. Second last was another matter, as "The Untouchables" managed to scrape together 15 points, and that won them a voucher for a bottle of wine.

With all that, plus two very happy free drink question winners, overall it was an excellent end to a fine year of quizzery. Happy Christmas, a Festivus (for the rest of us), a grand Hogmanay. Here’s to a superb 2019.
