We had some first-time winners at The Hare and Billet this evening, which is always a heartening occasion, as three dedicated quizzers combined to take home the spoils. With In It To Win It (The Wine, That Is) taking the runners up mantle on 34 points,in the end it was the sweetly-monikered three-piece I Just Want To be Your Friend who walked away with the £50 bar tab first prize, scoring 36 points over the course of 40 questions. With such a fine performance, IJWTBYF are certainly a team to watch out for in future competitions. Another team worth mentioning is the seven-person (and three-dog) quiz behemoth Woofers & Nags, who despite their size somehow managed to pull off the feat of coming second last. W&N managed a not-in-any-way-disastrous 24 point total, and for their efforts they took home a nice bottle of white wine to share amongst the ten of them.
